And if that's not enough...

In the past four weeks we've been fairly hectic in renovating, packing, seeing people and trying to make sure all the loose ends are tied up. Based on our things to do list it looks like we were making progress.

However, no matter how long we give ourselves in this and past trips, its always at the last minute (or couple of days) when everything starts to come together.  As we are trying to take as much stuff as we can we have also resorted to vacuum pack bags and are trial packing them today. So, this afternoon with two days to go before departure we packed our bags with these new vacuum space bags things.

It was hard work due to the squeezing and rolling (to get he air out) but we were feeling that we were making progress.

UNTIL

We each get texts on our mobile. 'ALERT, please call the bank to confirm recent activity on your credit card'. We called the bank and there's been an unauthorised use of our card to the value of $1,300. Sheesh, and because of this the credit cards have been cancelled. Bloody marvellous, two days out from leaving the country. Zero time to get a replacement card issued to us.  Lucky we just sorted out a 'back-up' account with another bank so we're not left completely fund-less.

Stuff you credit card scammers. That's the last thing we need right now.
