Nordine wanted to get some specific shoes and found that there was a shop that sold them in the town of Weesp.
Weesp is a town just outside of Amsterdam so it was a quick and easy drive for us.
First stop was to get the shoes. No problems.
As Weesp is so small we went for a bit of a walk a bit out of the old town and to the train station. Wow exciting! haha.
In the evening we went by tram into Amsterdam to have dinner with family friend Niek. He had cooked us a gourmet four course dinner, starter a duck pate.
To get home we need to take two trams. Even though we are not that far away from Niek's apartment the journey is over an hour. With full bellies we grumbled that we just should have driven tonight. At least we didn't miss any trams and got home relatively easily.

Then we went to check out the town. There was a market on today and so we went through that.
The weather wasn't so nice and so the market wasn't very busy.
The rest of the town was an easy walk - very small and we walked the whole thing twice.

For a small town it was surprising to see how many bikes were parked in the racks outside the station. I guess it is like this in most train stations around Holland but it was just surprising compared to how small Weesp is and how many bikes were there.
There wasn't much else to do so we walked back to the car, back though the pretty little old town bit.

Following the first course was a brown bean soup, then followed by a chicken curry, and then followed by a drambuie infused apricot bread pudding with baked pineapple and rosemary. Very interesting, VERY filling.
Talking on the couch after dinner we soon realised that time had flown by. It was good to catch up with Niek, but we had to leave quickly before the trams stopped for the night.
