A couple of weeks ago we went to the supersized restaurant 'Redo XXL'. We had a great meal but were a little disappointed by the service. You can read that story here.
Following that night out, I emailed Redo XXL to give some feedback. The restaurant management got back to me and said they were understaffed on the night that we went there. They also invited us to come back for some ribs on the house so that they could show us that their service was typically much better than we originally experienced.
So, with the invite we went back for the Thursday all you can eat ribs night :)
The second round came out and these were each of two larger racks of ribs each. These ones weren't as tasty as the small racks. Are the small ones from baby piggies or just a different part of the pig? I don't like thinking about eating baby pigs, or adult pigs for the matter - but one of you is very tasty...sorry piggy.
I had just knocked off my second set of ribs when Melanie came back to see how we were going. I was getting pretty full by now but thought I could go for one more set, as long as they were the little ones. I also thought that being my third set I would just get served either two or three little racks of ribs. I could handle that. I conferred with Melanie - can I have the little ribs, I like them better. She said that you usually get whatever comes out of the kitchen and pointed to the other tables. They got big ones, they got little ones, its whatever comes out at the time.
Despite that she said she'd go to the kitchen and see what she could do.
She came back with the little ones..woo hoo! But FIVE little racks. Oh man, that's a bit too much!!
As I struggled with my new set of ribs Nordine got herself a 'pinoccio' ice cream. She finished that off easily, I on the other hand had to surrender to meat induced over indulgence sickness.
We sat and slowly finished our beers and then wrapped up the leftover ribs to take home.
With our two lots of free ribs, we only had to pay for the two beers and the ice cream and this totalled 14.80 Euros.

As I wrote in the previous post, this restaurant is in a great looking modern building and has an impressive location overlooking the Teltow Canal. A beautiful spot to eat barrow loads of food!
We were seated by our waitress 'Melanie' and she already knew that we were 'those people'. She let us know that two sets of all you could eat ribs were on the house and that we would need to pay for anything else. We ordered two 1 Litre steins of beer and waited for our ribs.
The ribs came out, one plate with two small racks of ribs and the other with three racks. These ribs were super tasty.

We left extremely satisfied and already planning a return visit. Redo XXL had already proved itself as a great food restaurant and now with our return invite they have also proved they can offer great service too. Thanks Redo XXL for the re-invite.
Just like last time I spent the U-Bahn ride home clutching my belly and periodically exclaiming 'Oh Man'.
